-The N428 oil pressure regulation valve is bolted into the front edge of the cylinder block and below the accessory bracket.  

-The ECM engages the solenoid valve to switch between low and high oil pressure stages.  

-When activated, the solenoid valve moves and oil flows through the control valve ports. 

- The oil acts on the control piston, moving the slide unit and changing the pump pressure characteristics.
